Getting Ready for Thanksgiving!

Posted by Holly Nelson on Monday, November 22, 2010 Under: Area Cleaning for the Week
I'm back! I have my computer fixed just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday!
This week I am focusing on "quick pick ups" and "quick clean ups". We are going to focus on the main areas that your company will see. Today is "Quick Pick Ups". Tomorrow is "Quick Clean Ups".

Example: Kitchen, Living Room/Gathering Room, Family Room, and the Main Bathroom.

Monday:
~ Spend 15 minutes in each main room of your home. Pick up things that are not in their. place. Return them to the right place.
~ If you have time, go to other rooms in your home and do the same thing.
~ Make sure the room is tidy and neat before moving to the next room.
~ Remind your children that you want these areas kept nice for company. I allow my kids to play anywhere in my home. But, they have to return their toys to their toy bins when they are finished. A "hot spot fire drill" is fun at the end of the night.
~ When you are finished, drink a glass of water and relax

*"Hot Spot Fire Drill"~ Set a timer for 5 minutes. Have them race to see who can put their toys away the fastes. My boys always love competition!
