Steamed Carrots~ Baby Food

Posted by Holly Nelson on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 Under: Tummy Yummy Recipe of the Week

Steamed Carrots~ Baby Food
1 bag fresh baby or petite carrots
1 1/2 cup water
electric steamer/microwave steamer/stovetop steamer

1. Steam carrots until tender
2. Put into blender or food processor and puree until smooth. Add water if needed
3. Pour into ice cube trays or tiny plastic ziploc bowls.
4. Wrap trays and freeze until use.

I steamed my carrots in my microwave steamer because my electric steamer broke. I feel like the microwave takes nutrients out of the food, so I try not to do that often.
~Steam until tender

Puree in blender or food processor until smooth. Add water if needed.

Pour into ice cube trays or tiny ziploc bowls.
* Personally, I like the bowls because they are ready to heat and use.
~ Wrap and Freeze until use.

ENJOY!!
